Brief Encounter has it all : the athleticism and breeding for eventing, and the looks to sire offspring for the show ring.
He also has the temperament to combine his eventing and stud career. He is Advanced and will event occasionally in 2011 with Lucy Wiegersma when his busy stud season allows. He is an enthusiastic hunter during the winter months and is a regular face with the Blackmore Vale, The Cotleigh and Tiverton Foxhounds.
Brief Encounter is full brother to Andrew Nicholson's well known 4* ride HENRY TANKERVILLE, 8th at Badminton in 2007 and Bramham winner 2006, ridden by Andrew Nicholson. He also has a full sister in the USA, Java, a Grade A showjumper, previously in Robert Smith's yard before going to the States.
As a 4 year old Brief Encounter was 7th at the BYEH final and the top placed stallion. He was graded with the BWBS in 2004 and was Champion Sport Horse.

His first crop of foals were born in 2007 and have exceeded all expectations. He consistently produces county winners in the show ring including Champions at National level. His first 4yr olds under saddle are eagerly awaited in 2011.
